Held on the rowing world’s iconic stretch of the River Thames, HWR offers exciting side-by-side match racing for a wide range of competitors, from Juniors to University and Club to Elite level. Spectators are welcome to watch and enjoy the racing along the full length of the course – no tickets required!

Henley Women’s Regatta Competition Structure 2018

Henley Women’s Regatta key purpose is to ‘provide a pathway for girls and women from junior to international so they can excel in their rowing careers’.  For some racing at HWR may be the pinnacle of their career, for others a stepping stone towards higher achievement. Since its inception the regatta has grown in size and status with many future internationals competing. The committee recognise the significance of the regatta to crews from both the UK and overseas and want to encourage crews to aspire to compete at the highest level.

The Committee has reviewed the events offered taking into consideration the introduction of the Personal Ranking Index, the growth in entries and the change in women’s events at international level and Henley Royal Regatta.  As a result there will be changes next year.

The Categories for 2018 will be;

  • Championship:- 8+, 4-, 4x, 2-, 2x, 1x
